Using the animals and plants symbiosis, this work explores the biological’s frame and its related shapes. In addition to the biological’s frame and shape, this workshop using the different material to generate new structure. Participants can use the paper-folded with connected M.D.F as the basic material to create the original rigid-panel and transformable structures.
Jason S. Ku （Doctor of Philosophy, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Department of Mechanical Engineering）
Participants will learn the fundamentals of paper folding, how to draw folding patterns programmatically, and how to fabricate thick rigid panels and hinges using a layered construction. And design their own original rigid-panel, transformable structures using the techniques they learn in the workshop.
